We use a local bank in Slovakia called Tatra Banka to process all the credit card payments on their secure server. You can find out more about Tatra Banka from their web site. Just like any other payment by credit card, you're completely insured against loss. If you don't receive what you've paid for, you just cancel the credit card payment and the charge gets reversed.
Monies paid to us are held in a separate account until after your booked event, which provides you with financial security in the very unlikely event of our insolvency.

Best Slovakia Tours Ltd posts travel documents to your address 24 hours after confirmation. The delivery time depends on the method of dispatch you choose. You can also choose to have your travel documents delivered to your accommodations upon your arrival or pick them up from our office.
Book on-line or send us an e-mail with your details. For tours with regular departures, such as 15 prepared tours, limousine transfers, we require 25% deposit of the full amount. We consider your reservation completed after we receive the 25% deposit paid securely on-line. The outstanding balance will be paid by credit card or in cash on your arrival. For tours such as 3 capitals in a week where your overnight is out of Slovakia we require a 25% deposit payment after you have filled in a booking form and 30 days before the arrival the full payment. The hotels out of Slovakia must be paid usually 14 to 21 days in advance.
Please check the terms & conditions. Full refund will be made - 5% administration fee if written cancellation notice is received 30 days before departure. If you cancel 30-15 days prior to the first day of the tour, the cancellation fee is 10%. There is no refund for cancellations made less than 15 days before the commencement of the tour which is 25% of the full amount. If, for any reason, Best Slovakia Tours cancels the tour, your money will be fully refunded.
You can travel to Slovakia year round. Pick the season best suited to your taste and needs. As you head to the mountains ( Central Slovakia ) the climate becomes cooler. June/July/August is great for hiking tours. September is still very good and not overcrowded with tourists. As the summer holiday ( July/August ) have finished. Winter Season starts from December to February, where there are good skiing conditions in the mountains.
Generally, the most popular time to travel is May through October. Summers are warm, but not extremely hot. See Climate in Slovakia - Weather Chart.
The weather is comfortable in the summer, but can get quite chilly in the mountains. Bring casual clothes, some warmer items if your tour takes place in March, mid-April or in the second half of September. Be sure to have good walking boots if your tour involves hiking and consider some decent smart clothes if the tour involves classical music concert or ballet. Choose the best suitable hotel where you would like the reservation. Request a reservation and fill in the form and submit the form. When we receive your form we check that all the details are correct and send you a price and a confirmation that the dates are available for your requested hotel and stay. We send you a Pro forma Invoice which is payable securely on-line to reserve your hotel . We then send you a confirmation and link to our booking system where you can pay in full for your hotel . We send you a receipt together with your hotel voucher.
We can arrange a weekend city break for 1 person to a group of 40+ for our weekend breaks in Bratislava. For our Slovakian tours we normally have to 8 – 15 people to keep it more personal, but if you are a larger group then it would be no problem for us to have up to 40+ people.
We arrange tours for travellers coming to Slovakia from the whole world therefore it is quite typical to find different nationalities on any one regular tour, such as 15 prepared tours. You make new friendship with guests from Australia, America, Canada, New Zealand, Europe..etc.
Please Note: Tailor-made tours are made only for you & your relatives. No other persons take place on such a trip.
All tours are scheduled in English. We appreciate mixed groups which create interesting multicultural atmosphere. We are able to organize private tours in German, French, Spanish, Italian and on request and in advance, practically in any foreign language. On tailor-made tours - where the driver is also a guide, translator & advisor – we have English/German & Spanish spoken.

Transport to/from Slovakia (we can assist you if needed); health insurance - we strongly encourage you to arrange this insurance before your arrival to Slovakia, visit Travel Insurance section, travel and luggage insurance portage (though our employees and hotel staff will always be ready to help you where possible), visa costs, tips (subject to your satisfaction), items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, laundry, mini-bar, room service etc. All dinners exclude beverages.
