DAY 1, Welcome to Slovakia !

DAY 2, Wine region: Skalica
Breakfast from 8.00. We start today with sightseeing tour with a professional guide where you visit the highlights of the city such as Primate Palace (the largest palace in Bratislava where the Treaty of Pressburg in 1805 was signed), St. Martin Cathedral (one of the largest gothic construction of Bratislava where between the years 1563-1830 the coronations of 19 rulers including Austria-Hungarian empress Maria Theresa took place), Michael's gate - the only preserved gate from medieval times, Slovak National Theatre, City Hall, historical narrow streets, squares and lots more.

Transfer to SKALICA wine region (1hour drive). Skalica lying on the border with the Czech Republic ranks among the ancient Slovak towns which could boast of the attribute “Free Royal Town“ in the past centuries. Its history is long and rich. Periods of building activities, development and prosperity were followed by periods marked by wars, uprisings, plundering and destruction, epidemics or natural disasters. Skalica has an important position on the historic map as well as on the present map of Slovakia for several reasons.
Taste famous wines from this region in one of the finest wine cellars of this region. Short sightseeing tour afterwards. Transfer to Bratislava (1 hour drive). Dinner & overnight in Bratislava

DAY 3, Wine region: the oldest is the Little Carpathian Wine Route
Breakfast from 8.00. Small Carpathian Wine Route. We will visit beautiful three former free royal towns. As the first, we will stop in Svaty Jur, taste the wine in a nice wine cellar and continue to Pezinok, again, wine tasting and visiting of the wine shop and transfer to Modra.
We will start with lunch in a stylish restaurant, in a building from 16th century.
After lunch wine tasting and visit of Red Stone Castle, magnificient rennaissance fortress from 16th century. Transfer to Bratislava.
Dinner & overnight in Bratislava.

white variety: Vlassky Riesling (Riesling Italico), Rhine Riesling, Gruner Veltliner, White Burgundy
blue variety (red): Frankovka of Raca, St. Laurent and others.

DAY 4, Wine region: Nitra Royal Wine Route
Breakfast from 8.00. Transfer to NITRA wine region (1hour drive). We will start with wine tasting of course, followed by short sighstseeing tour where you see the highlights of the town. Lunch and transfer to Kosice. Free Program in Kosice. Dinner & overnight in Kosice.

DAY 5, Wine region: Tokaj 
Breakfast from 8.00. Kosice - an important cultural, scientific and commercial centre of Slovakia. The favourable natural conditions here attracted the first settlers in the Stone Age. The first monasteries were established here in the 11th-13th centuries and Kosice§ growth was given a boost by the arrival of German settlers in the 13th century. 
The Golden Age (15th cent.) when Kosice was a centre for trade and crafts and one of the biggest towns in the whole Kingdom of Hungary..Kosice is now home to a number of universities, scientific institutions, theatres, philharmonic orchestra and a number of foreign and international companies, all of them giving this city a lively and cosmopolitan flavour.
Let's do the sightseeing tour and explore the city. Visit the main square and the Gothic St. Elisabeth Catedral (the biggest Gothic church in Slovakia), Jesuit church & monastery, Franciscan church & monastery, Miklus's prison - one of the best preserved structures from Middle Ages, Eastern Slovak Museums -15th-17th century gold coins from all over Europe..
Transfer to TOKAJ wine region, Tokaj wines are for many years considered to be a youth elixir, symbol of masculine power and feminine beauty. These are legendary potions, so beloved by Maria Theresia, passionately drunk by Russian empress Catherine and described in poems by J.W.Goethe. Cheers ! Free Programme. DAY 6, Banska Bystrica & Bratislava
Breakfast from 8.00. Transfer to Banska Bystrica (3hrs 30min drive). Banska Bystrica (administrative centre of Central Slovakia, population 85000).Sightseeing tour around the Old City Centre - this is one of the most beautiful in Slovakia, with many burgher houses well preserved, visit a clock tower on a main square, church of the Virgin Mary & museum of Slovak National Uprising, as the Slovak National Uprising started exactly here in Banska Bystrica, 29 August 1944, uprising against the entry of Wehrmacht ( the Nazis ) to our land…
Lunch break  and transfer to Bratislava. Dinner & overnight in Bratislava

DAY 7, Farewell
Breakfast from 8.00. Check-out & Free Time for shopping or walking around the beautiful City Centre until your departure. Transfer to the airport.

      This will depend which tour you will choose. As many tours start in Central Slovakia, the most convenient is to flight to the closest international airport in Krakow, Poland. However, for tours starting in Bratislava, Slovakia - undoubtedly the best is Vienna Schwechat airport. Not sure what's the best connection from your country ? Ask our travel consultant.
