DAY 1, Welcome to Bratislava !
Meet & greet at the airport. Welcome drink & transfer to Low Tatras. We'll go through the itinerary.

DAY 2, Chopok peak

Breakfast from 8.00 followed by short briefing. Hiking up to Chopok peak (2024m), the second highest peak in the Low Tatras, and visit Kamenna cottage. We will continue along the main ridge to Derese peak (2005m) and to Krizske saddle.
Dinner & overnight in Low Tatras.


DAY 3, Ohniste hill

Breakfast from 8.00 followed by short briefing. We will trek to a mountain built of limestone and dolomite called Ohniste at an altitued 1539 m ASL, a jagged karst massif with abundant caves, abysses, and the largest ”rock window” in Slovakia.

DAY 4, Dumbier peak

Breakfast from 8.00 followed by short briefing. Climbing to Dumbier (altitude 2043 m ASL), the highest peak in the Low Tatras, where we will be able to see chamois in a special reserve set up for their protection. Dumbier is a beautiful mountain with 500 meter long precipices, and rare flora and fauna. Below the peak, at an altitude of 1740 meters, is cottage of M.R.Stefanika.

DAY 5, Demanovska valley

Breakfast from 8.00 followed by short briefing. From the chalet we will descend to Dead Bat Cave and we will explore those sections of it that are accessible to the public. The cave has 14 floors, and it is 12 km long and 310 m deep. The cave’s name is derived from the findings of bat bones, which are abundant throughout the cave. The age of the bones has been estimated at 6000 years old. After the exploration of the cave we will move on to Demanovska valley. Dinner & overnight in Low Tatras


DAY 6, Sina hill

Breakfast from 8.00 followed by short briefing. Hiking up to limestone peak of Sina (1560m). A rich variety of rare mountain plant life covers the area. Dinner & overnight in Low Tatras


DAY 7, Caves

Breakfast from 8.00 followed by short briefing.We will visit two beautiful caves: Demanovska Freedom Cave and Demanovska Ice Cave. In total, we will view 3000 meters of subterranean beauty: a magical ”world of lakes”, stalactites, stalagmites, and powerful waterfalls. Bones of bats and bears have been found in the caves. In the ice cave, temperatures hover around zero degrees Celsius.

DAY 8, Krakova peak

Breakfast from 8.00 followed by short briefing. We will climb to the jagged top of Krakova Peak (altitude 1751 m) which is formed of precipitous limestone and dolomite cliffs fissured by many crevices.
