What's included
Less than 2hrs from Bratislava lie a World Heritage site – Wachau valley, the spectacular landscape along the Danube River, known for its wine and many renaissance little towns, historical castles, and churches. Our first stop is in the little town of Durnstein. Short walk around and climb up to the castle ruin. The views on the meandering Danube river are just stunning. Lunch break and chance to try tasty Austrian meals, desserts, and wines.
A visit to a wine cellar is a must. This region is famous for dry white wines, mostly Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. There are 3 different styles of wine, which will be your most favorite? Will it be the lightest Steinfeder, richer Federspiel, or the highest quality Smaragd. (included in the price)
On the way back a short stop in Krems, the 5th largest Austrian city. Short strolling around, coffee & cake, and departure to Bratislava.
During the tour, get an overview of Austrian history, know more about one of the oldest and most powerful Habsburg dynasty, famous music composers, gastronomy, and wine. Have a spectacular day with your private guide. And of course, have your comfort on the roads in a new vehicle with A/C, comfortable seats, and cold mineral water (sparkling and still).
Enjoy!
What else is possible (for extra costs):
On request we can visit Melk Abbey – UNESCO sight or Aggstein castle ruin – one of Austria’s most famous fortress.
