We’ll start with a Quality Sightseeing Walking Tour to see all the Must-Sees Vienna has to offer. Admire the world-famous Opera House, walk on the famous shopping street Kartnerstrasse, enter the gothic St. Stephan`s Cathedral, – the symbol of Vienna, would you like to take an elevator in the northern tower to get the great views or you rather walk up 343 steps in the southern tower? Walk on Am Graben and Kohlmarkt and enter into the former seat of the Austro-Hungarian empire – the imperial Hofburg palace, – the unique heart of this great city. We’ll walk to see the Parliament building, Burgtheater, City Hall. We’ll give you an overview about the city’s rich Habsburg history, music, architecture, gastronomy. Lunch break and trying Austrian delicacies. Walking down the narrow cobblestone streets of the city’s historic First District (Erstes Bezirk), one can almost hear the classical compositions of Mozart, Schubert and Strauss in the melodic clatter of old-style horse carriages.

We’ll visit a marvellous Schonbrunn Palace – the summer residence of former Empress Elisabeth with an attractive interiour exposition. Take a guided tour around the palace (Imperial or Grand Tour), afterwards, we walk around the spectacular gardens.

Enough time to enjoy a coffee and maybe to try a famous Sacher cake. What about a concert of classical music?

We‘ll drive to Wachau Valley, – the scenic part of Austrian landscape famous for its vineyards on the steep terraces and monumental wines. We’ll stop in a small town Durnstein and také a walk through the heart of the historic old town and walk up to Durnstein castle ruin where famous King Richard I of England was held captive. As some of the world’s finest white wines come from this area, try a glass of Riesling or Gruner Veltliner.

Continue to Melk Abbey – a spiritual and cultural center of the country for more than 1000 years, first as a castle for the Babenbergs, then from 1089 as a Benedictine monastery, founded by Margrave Leopold II. Melk Abbey presents one of Austria’s highlights and as Europe’s great cultural ensemble. Drive to Salzburg.

Salzburg is the birthplace of W. A. Mozart, a spectacular city dominated by churches, castles and palaces, no doubt it is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. We’ll start with a Quality Walking Tour and will immerse in the city’s rich history. Start with the visit of the Hohensalzburg castle – the majestic fortress high above the Old city (by funicular railway). Enjoy stunning views. Continue with walking tour through famous street Getreidegasse – the bustling heart of Salzburg’s Old city and visit of Mozart’s birthplace (the museum gives a wonderful overview of the composer’s life and his relationship with the city), walk on the Cathedral Square and enter the Salzburg Cathedral, where Mozart was baptized. The next must-to-see is the Mirabell Palace and Gardens.

We’ll drive to Hallstatt Saltmine to discover the mysterious and enchanting world of ancient mining. After the Salt Mine visit, we’ll move to Wolfgangsee and take a ride on the steepest cog railway in Austria from St. Wolfgang to the 1783m tall Schafberg where you can admire one of Austria’s most beautiful and scenic views.

We’ll drive to Innsbruck, nestled in the heart of Austria’s Tyrol region, surrounded by mountains on all sides. Lunch break and a walk through the old town to see the highlights such as the Golden Roof, the Imperial Palace and the medieval city tower. Relaxing afternoon.

Today we drive to Graz, the capital of Styria and Austria’s second-largest city. Styria region is nicknamed as the Green Heart of Austria. With its UNESCO-listed Old Town and relaxed Mediterranean flair, it is a delightful surprise: elegant, lively and pleasantly uncrowded. Take the lift up to the Schlossberg, the hill rising above the city, and admire the Clock Tower, the beloved symbol of Graz. Look closely at its face: the hands are reversed, with the large hand showing the hours and the small one the minutes. From here, enjoy sweeping views over the red rooftops of the Old Town. The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax and explore at leisure.

This morning, enjoy a guided tour of Schloss Eggenberg on the edge of Graz, one of the most important Baroque palaces in Austria and part of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire its splendid state rooms and stroll through the palace park, where peacocks roam freely. We then continue to the Austrian Open-Air Museum in Stübing, just outside Graz. Set in a peaceful wooded valley, it brings together historic farmhouses, stables, mills and alpine huts from all over Austria, offering a charming glimpse into traditional rural life of centuries past. In the afternoon, we drive back to Vienna, where the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Farewell dinner in the Old town (included).
