BRATISLAVA - BANSKA BYSTRICA
We meet and greet you at the airport and drive to Banska Bystrica. A short orientation tour and free time. Welcome drink and itinerary introduction. We give you advice on where to go for lunch/dinner Note: Airport pick up from Bratislava airport for FREE. Airport transfer from Vienna Schwechat airport with private driver-guide for a discounted rate.

WOODEN CHURCHES: HRONSEK AND LESTINY
The first wooden church we will visit today is the 18th century wooden articled church in Hronsek, inscribed in UNESCO in 2008. The wooden articled church from 1726 is set in the wonderful environment of big lime trees. Fine wooden belfry from 1726 stands nearby. Church visit with detailed information. Another UNESCO wooden church in Lestiny, The lavishly painted interior decoration of the church is from the 17th and 18th centuries. Visitors are attracted especially by the main altar from the beginning of the 18th century, church pews with coats of arms. Church visit with detailed information. Drive to Zuberec – a beautiful area of Western Tatra mountains. At leisure.

WOODEN CHURCHES: ALL SAINTS AND KEZMAROK
Firstly, visit of Open-air museum to see closer the day life from 19th-20th century. On a relatively small area, you can find peasants as well as farmer’s houses, mills, barns, churches. Afterward, Tvrdosin and its oldest preserved building – the Gothic wooden Roman-Catholic All Saints church situated in the local cemetery. Visitor’s attention is drawn by the paintings of the Apostles, the Late Renaissance pulpit with figures of the Evangelists from 1654, and a painting of St George mounted on a horse fighting a dragon (a distemper painting on wood from 1653) We move to one of the best-preserved Slovak wooden sacral buildings – the articled Evangelical Church of the Holy Trinity in Kezmarok built-in 1717 next to an older sacral stone building from 1593, which today is a sacristy. This unique wooden building made of yew and red spruce wood was built without using a single metal.

HERVARTOV – UNESCO
WOODEN CHURCHES: ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL & ST. NICOLAS
Drive to see another gem – the wooden church of St Michael the Archangel, Greek Catholic in Ladomirova built in 1742 without a single metal nail. Continue to see another – the Greek Catholic wooden church of St Nicolas in Bodruzal built-in 1658. The log building consists of three parts with three little towers. Drive to Snina -a gate to the originally volcanic Vihorlat protected landscape area and the National Park of Poloniny. At leisure.

GREEK-CATHOLIC WOODEN CHURCHES
On the way to Kosice we drive and stop in villages: Topola (St. Michael Archangel church), Rusky Potok (greek-catholic church of St. Michael Archangel), Ulicske Krive (greek-catholic church of St. Michael Archangel), and Ruska Bystra (greek-catholic church of the relics of St. Nicholas) Well, we have now seen most of the “must to see” as well as “out-of-the-beaten-track” churches and it is the time to relax a bit. Drive to Kosice -Kosice is a regional administrative center and Eastern Slovakia’s hub of industry, commerce, science, and culture. Visit of St. Elizabeth’s Cathedral, considered to be one of the most beautiful Gothic structures in the world. Enjoy the magical atmosphere in the square. Singing fountain, parks, and overall a good mood. At leisure.
